The Abomination of Desolation of Matthew 24 is in the Last Day Church

This is a continuation of my previous message called; The Abomination of Desolation has nothing to do with a Temple in Jerusalem. That message proved that the abomination is setup in the church. Not a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem.

In this message we will talk about progressive theology. This theology is a mixture of biblical and worldly principles. There is just enough Bible in it to sell it to the Christian world. This is the fastest growing theology in the church today. It has been gaining popularity for decades. This is what the Bible describes as the ‘falling away’ from the faith in the last days.

But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron. 1 Timothy 4:1-2

The Bible calls progressive theology the doctrines of demons and deceitful spirits. Deceitful means it deceives people. This is why Jesus, when talking about the last days, said, do not be deceived!

In the last message we talked about the principle of first the natural and then the spiritual. There is a natural Chanukah with the abomination of desolation and there is a spiritual Chanukah with the abomination of desolation. It is a shame that the church does not keep Chanukah even though Jesus did. This adds to the deception. Since the church doesn’t know what Chanukah is, how can she understand what’s coming?

In the first, or natural, abomination of desolation, the apostate leadership of Israel joined with the pagan ruler, Antiochus Epiphanes, to defile the temple. The Maccabees, who would not submit to the apostasy, revolted, and eventually defeated the pagan armies of Antiochus Epiphanes. They cleansed and rededicated the temple in Jerusalem.

The second Chanukah is the spiritual one. This is what Jesus was referring to in Matthew 24 when He talked about the abomination of desolation in the last days. The second Chanukah is the apostate church leadership of the last days joining with the government, to defile the church. Just as in the first Chanukah, there will be those who refuse to submit to the apostate church leadership. Those who refuse to submit are the last day Maccabees, or overcomers.

There are books and web sites about progressive theology, both for and against it. You can read all about it. There is nothing secret about it. I will list a few of its main points here.

All faiths lead to God. The Bible says that there is only one way to the Father and that is the blood of the Lamb. This is inclusion of Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Humanism, etc.

Honoring differences in sexual orientation. Homosexuality is an abomination. This theology requires that homosexuality be accepted into the church. LGBT is the hallmark of progressive theology today. It says that not only is homosexuality accepted by God, but it is also blessed by God.

Love one another. By loving one another, we reach the highest level of spirituality. Loving and honoring God is not required or desired.

Protect the Earth.  Man made climate change. Duh.

If you spend any time studying progressive theology, you will notice that the core principals of the Christian faith are missing. They have been replaced with social concepts that make us feel good about ourselves. No wonder it is so popular in our feel-good society.

In my book, The Harlot of Babylon, I have a chapter on progressive theology. I call it the trojan horse of inclusion. Here are the main points:

Inclusion has no cross. There is no cross in the inclusion gospel. There is no blood of the Lamb. There is no blood atonement. Since Jesus loves and accepts everyone as they are, the cross is simply not required.

Inclusion has no repentance. There is no repentance in the inclusion gospel. Repenting of our sin is not required. Again, since Jesus loves and accepts everyone as they are, repentance is not required.

Inclusion does not allow for conviction of sin. Inclusion doesn’t even acknowledge that sin exists. Conviction of sin has been replaced by love, acceptance, and tolerance.

Inclusion has no worship. The only thing that matters is love and acceptance of others. Worship is replaced by pride. Pride in ourselves that we have finally risen above our intolerance of others.

Inclusion has no love of God. Inclusion requires love and acceptance of other people, especially those who are different from us. It does not require love of God. The greatest commandment, love God and love others, is replaced with love others. Love God is no longer required or wanted.

Inclusion has no sanctification. There is no need for the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. Since we love and tolerate one another, it is simply not required.

Inclusion has no death to self. Self is not the problem. Hate and intolerance of others is the only problem. As we love and tolerate others, our fallen, sinful self-life is glorified. This new tolerant self is doing just as God intended. See how righteous we are? There is no need for death to self.

Inclusion has no discipleship. The root word of discipleship is discipline. Hebrews says if we are without discipline then we are illegitimate children. Discipline is required for righteousness. Since inclusion does not acknowledge sin there is simply no need for discipleship.

Inclusion has no morality. If we love one another, we can live in sexual immorality. Immoral living and homosexuality are acceptable lifestyles. Jesus loves and accepts everyone. So should we.

Inclusion has no Bible. The only verses we need are those that speak of loving and accepting others. Verses on taking care of the poor. Verses on social justice. References to the cross, repentance, sin, holiness, sanctification, death to self, and discipline are no longer required or wanted.

With inclusion, sin is not the problem, hate is the only problem. If we address someone’s sin, then we are not operating in love. We are operating in hate and intolerance. You see this everywhere today in the woke world. There is no mention of sin. Just hate and intolerance.

The church members who stand for the truth are criticized and rejected as hate filled legalistic Christians. You are old-fashioned. You must change with the times or become irrelevant.

As progressive theology makes its way into the church, the Holy Spirit eventually leaves, and He takes His true followers with Him. The progressive church continues to descend into apostasy. Revelation calls this church Laodicea, the last day apostate church. Jesus is standing outside this church knocking on the door. This is the second or spiritual Chanukah, the fulfillment of the first Chanukah.

In the first Chanukah, we have the apostate Jewish leadership, the abomination of desolation in the temple, and Antiochus Epiphanes.

In the second Chanukah we have the apostate Christian leadership, progressive theology in the church, and the anti-Christ.

What is the abomination of desolation today? The replacement of the true gospel of death, burial, and resurrection, with a fleshly love one another gospel. The love of God and the Holy Spirit is replaced with love one another. The self reaches its fulfillment in loving one another.

In the first Chanukah, the government supported the apostate Jewish leadership. In the second Chanukah, the government will support the apostate church leadership of Laodicea.

In the first Chanukah, the government persecuted those who did not submit to the apostate Jewish leadership. In the second Chanukah, the government will persecute those who do not submit to the progressive theology in the church. This is Philadelphia.

The churches that adopt progressive theology will be fine, for a while. The churches that don’t adopt progressive theology will be persecuted. The pressure on the church to submit will be tremendous.
